MILAN, Nov 19 (SW) - Inter Milan went three points clear at the top of Serie A on Sunday after they scored a narrow 1-0 victory over Reggina at the San Siro.
Reggina were up against it from the very beginning as Inter came out in full attack mode, and they needed just four minutes to take the lead as Argentina striker Hernán Crespo found the back of the net for what would be the only goal of the game.
Reggina's defense held firm and denied Inter many times throughout the rest of the game, but despite staying within reach they were unable to put in an equalizer.
The Nerazzurri were able to open up the gap at the summit after second-place Palermo were beaten 1-0 at Cagliari on Saturday.
