MADRID, Nov 19 (SW) – Brazilian and Barcelona midfielder Thiago Motta has been cleared to play in today’s Primera Division match against Real Mallorca away at the Son Moix Stadium.
He had originally been given a one – match ban after having received a red card in last week’s Primer Division match against Real Zaragoza.
Motta’s hand, in a challenge on Diego Milito, caught his chest resulting in the red card.
The Spanish Committee for Sports Discipline overturned the ban when evidence showed Milito clutching his face and not his chest where he had been caught by Motta.
