LONDON, Nov 23 (SW) – Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is confident that Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack can overcome injury concerns for Sunday’s crunch showdown with Manchester United.
The pair were forced off early in Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash against Werder Bremen, prompting doubts over their fitness for the all important top of the table Premierhsip showdown.
However, Chelsea boss Mourinho has sought to allay any fears by declaring both will make the trip to Old Trafford.
"Ballack's injury is nothing special. It is just pain,” explained Mourinho.
"The opposing player put his studs on his muscle and it is just painful.
"Didier is the same. He has a pain in the ankle but it is nothing serious. Normally, he will be fit enough for Sunday."
