Excelsior pushed aside by PSV

Written by: Jonathan Roorda
EINDHOVEN, Nov 18 (SW) - Dutch Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven hosted Excelsior on Saturday and achieved a comfortable 4-0 victory.

Arouna Koné put the hosts in the lead after 29 minutes and Brazilian defender Alex doubled the gap just before the half time whistle.

Rotterdam-based Excelsior limited the damage in the second half but could not stop Peruvian Jefferson Farfán from scoring PSV's third in the 80th minute.

And the Latin influence continued at the Philips Stadium as Mexican Carlos Salcido netted his side's fourth with five minutes left in regular time.
