Real Madrid beat Racing, red for Guti

Written by: Jonathan Roorda
MADRID, Nov 18 (SW) - Real Madrid beat Racing Santander 3-1 at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, but lost Guti for next week's clash with Valencia.

Sergio Ramos put the home side in the lead after only five minutes and Jose Antonio Reyes added a second close to the hour mark.

Capello's team decided the clash in the 71st minute, when Mahamadou Diarra netted for 3-0. Garay's goal for Racing in the 76th minute was no threat to the final result.

But the aftertaste will have been anything but pleasant for Madrid, as Guti was red-carded in the 88th minute and is likely to miss out on his side's clash with Valencia, at Mestalla next week.
