ROME, Nov 19 (SW) - AS Roma crushed Catania 7-0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday and close in on Palermo's second place in the Serie A.
Christian Panucci put the Romans in the lead after twelve minutes and Mancini added a second, seven minutes later.
Simone Perrotta (24th) and Francesco Totti (40th) were responsible for the half time score of 4-0.
Three minutes into the second half, Panucci got his second and striker Vincenzo Montella scored Roma's sixth close to the hour mark.
The seventh and last goal came from captain Totti in the 70th minute.
