PALERMO, Nov 23 (SW) – Palermo striker Andrea Caracciolo admits that he may be forced to move on from the club during the January transfer window.

The player has fallen down the pecking order since the summer arrival of Amauri from Chievo, and says that he needs to play to return to his best.

“My season so far has not been bad, although I have not scored, but you need to play to do that,” said the former Brescia player.

“It isn’t easy to accept the bench and if nothing changes I think Palermo will decide to send me elsewhere in January.

“I am disappointed that I didn’t play against Cagliari, but I cannot blame Coach [Francesco] Guidolin.

“His choices have been the right ones so far. As long as Amauri is playing so well there really isn’t anything I can say.

“I will do my best to convince Guidolin in the next month, but in January we will see.”

Caracciolo has been linked with moves to Roma and Liverpool in recent times.
