LONDON, Nov 20 (Sw) - The Icelandic consortium headed by Eggert Magnusson is about to conclude a deal early this week, the BBC reports.

According to the report, Magnusson met current Hammer chairman Terry Brown, and is ready to table 75 million pounds (around €115 million) for the club.

The financial aspect of the deal is backed by the chairman of a main Icelandic bank.

Magnusson would beat the consortium led by Iranian born businessman Kia Joorabchian to get control over the East London club.

The two main summer signings, Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano, were financed by Joorabchian, and their future at Upton Park.
