MUNICH, Nov 19 (SW) – Bayern Munich have re-elected Franz Beckenbauer as president of the club during an annual meeting which saw him take over 98% of the vote.
The meeting took place on Friday and the 61 year old was voted in by 2,500 of the clubs members, Beckenbauer has held the role since 1994 and will now remain as president until 2009.
Beckenbauer told the Bayern members, "thanks for the faith in me."
