MANCHESTER, Nov 22 (SW) – Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he hopes his side will make Chelsea pay for their defeat in the Champions League last night.
Reacting to his team’s shock loss to Celtic, the Scottish Premier League champions, he said that his squad was shell – shocked and haven’t taken the defeat well.
Nakamura’s spectacular free kick strike as well as Louis Saha’s late penalty miss were instrumental in ensuring that United need to win against Benfica next month when the Portuguese club visit them in the final week of Champions League Group stage.
Sir Alex also said that Sunday’s top of the league clash could be the decider for the season.
