BERGAMO, Nov 21 (SW) – Atalanta striker Christian Vieri will not return to the field until February of next year due to the further surgery he has had on his knee injury.
It had been thought that Vieri would be available in early January but the striker has now had to endure another more minor operation on his knee yesterday.
This was the second time the Atalanta player needed surgery on the knee and Atalanta boss Stefano Colantuono will now have to put the player through a rehabilitation programme which starts today.
