LONDON, Nov 23 (SW) – West Ham United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has reportedly turned himself into counseling over alleged problems with alcohol and gambling.
The former Manchester United player is said to have been battling the problems for a little while, and is trying to get over the issues by seeking professional help.
"We are aware that Roy has problems and we are fully supporting him in any way we can. He has gone about tackling the issues in the right way and is seeking expert help to sort him out,” confirmed Hammers boss Alan Pardew on Wednesday.
"I understand he will leave the clinic today and will be back in training with us on Thursday."
