MILAN, Nov 21 (SW) – It appears likely that AC Milan’s captain Paolo Maldini will hang up his boots at the end of the season.
Speaking to the Daily La Repubblica today he said that the pain in his knee is becoming too much and the pain is unbearable.
The thirty eight year old defender has played a record 126 times for his country Italy.
His contract expires at the end of the season.
He joined AC Milan 1n 1985 and has only played for the one club throughout his entire career.
During his illustrious career he has won four European Cups (Champions League) and seven Serie A titles.
