MADRID, Nov 21 (SW) – Injuries have forced Fabio Capello to leave striker Ronaldo and midfielder David Beckham out of tonight’s Champions League match here against Olympique Lyon.
Ronaldo has a strain in the lateral ligament in his left knee while Beckham has an inflamed left knee.
However midfielder Guti and defender Cannavaro, who both picked up slight injuries against Racing Santander on Saturday, are likely to be named in the starting line up.
In the first leg, Lyon defeated Real 2 – 0 in Lyon and are unbeaten in their group having won all four matches without a goal having been conceded.
